Classic Signs

Here's a few Classic Signs surrounding Domestic Violence that males use to control the women in their lives:

1. being told you're worthless will destroy self esteem.

2. pretends to be a friend when all they want is to use you financially.

3. religion is used to make you feel guilt and shame.

4. being ignored and/or you have to ignore your family and friends.

5. being isolated from family and friends.

6. you're not allowed to make phone calls to anyone.

7. watching the clock minute by minute.

8. you have to stop working and/or give up a career.

This list of information is for people who ask me; "why do women stay in an
abusive marriage and/or violent situation" it's called Fear! On this note, I'll briefly share a couple of my childhood nightmare stories featured in Fighting Fires.

A. 1966 ~ I was eight years old and my mother was 9 months pregnant with my sister. There was huge fight between my mother and Elliott, (he's a big man)!
I screamed, when Elliott hit my mother as she fell to the floor.

B. 1973 ~ a huge fight started when my mother found out her husband the rapist Jim Culver was having an affair. I told the Rapist if he didn't leave my mother alone I'd call the police (how bold is this for a 15 year old female to say?) their fight continued !

The Rapist used his belt to beat my mother while kicking her as she laid on the ground in the driveway.

If you think these kind of behaviors don't affect all our children nationwide who witness domestic violence, you will be wrong and sometimes

"Dead Wrong!"
